Kevin Konecky
ABSC, LLC was formed in 2013 and is a consulting firm operated by Kevin Konecky. ABSC specialized on battery system development activities from concept stage through production as well as post-production product analysis and support. ABSC also has a network of supporting companies for lab testing, development and analysis support, as needed for each individual project.
Mr. Konecky has 25+ years of battery systems and high-voltage integration work and has been involved in multiple battery development projects, including:
- Automotive HEV, PHEV & EV Applications
- Consumer, Industrial and Medical battery systems and electronics
- Drone, eVOTL and aviation battery systems
- Energy Storage (Stationary) systems
- Converting systems from lead-acid and other chemistries to lithium-ion
- Expert witness and expert consultant investigations
- Battery failure analysis, evaluation, root-cause and solution
Mr. Konecky was previously a Senior Consultant with Total Battery Consulting and is author of the recent industry publication “Battery Packs of Modern xEV’s”. He also acquired Battery Safety Consulting, Inc from Dr. Daniel Doughty and continues its operation based on its rich heritage specializing on battery safety topics.
Mr. Konecky regularly teaches tutorials and seminars, along with providing presentations at many industry events, including AABC battery conferences in US/Europe/Asia; SAE; International Battery Seminar and others.
